Terms

Terms of use.

Please read these terms. They explain how York Tree Surgery works.

We are an introduction service. York Tree Surgery is not itself a firm of tree surgeons. We connect you with independent, local tree surgeons who carry out the work. When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to a tree surgeon who covers your area and does that kind of work.

The work and the quote are theirs. Any quote, advice, contract and the work itself are between you and the tree surgeon. They are independent businesses responsible for their own qualifications, insurance, waste-carrier registration and the quality and safety of their work. We ask the tree surgeons we work with to be NPTC / City & Guilds qualified, hold at least £5m public liability insurance, and be registered waste carriers, and to confirm this on request.

No contract is formed with us. Submitting the form is a request for an introduction and a quote — it does not commit you to anything. You're free to accept, negotiate or decline any quote a tree surgeon gives you.

Permissions. Information on this site about Tree Preservation Orders, conservation areas and felling licences is general guidance. The tree surgeon will check the specific position for your tree before any work, but responsibility for obtaining the correct consent ultimately rests with the tree owner.

Prices. All prices shown are general guide ranges, not quotes. Your actual price comes from the tree surgeon after they've assessed the job.
